‘Dedicated to the Dedicated: Whitlam, the Arts and Democracy’ was an exhibition commissioned and held at the Margaret Whitlam Galleries, the Whitlam Institute. The exhibition featured the first public display of a unique collection of artworks gifted to Gough and Margaret Whitlam in 1979, in recognition of the Whitlam Government’s landmark support for the Arts in Australia.

Working closely with the curator, I designed the full suite of exhibition collateral, including the branding, interpretive panels, large format banners, and the program booklet. A standout feature of the exhibition was a set of four large S-shaped banners that stretched across an entire wall. Featuring quotes from Gough Whitlam’s speeches, they invited visitors to walk through and interact with the space.
