As a world-renowned university known for its research and academic excellence, TikTok presents a unique opportunity to create educational content that is fun, short, easily digestible and far-reaching.

'Catching Lightning' is a short video presented by Professor John Fletcher that explores the potential of harnessing lightning as an energy source. As the topic isn’t easily conveyed through traditional video footage, an animated approach was chosen. Working closely with the videographer, I created a vibrant, cartoon-style animation that brings the script to life with a playful and entertaining visual approach.
